The sponsor of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), recommend PCB to transfer Faysal Bank Twenty20 Cricket Tournament from Lahore to Karachi. Professor Syed Sirajul Islam Bukhari, the president of KCCA has acknowledged the involvement of President for altering the location of the occasion.
President has anticipated that new Twenty20 tournament will take place in Lahore when stuff will mature. This discussion took place in a meeting of the sport legends and sports organizers with the President.
There were many ex and present legends of the Pakistani cricket that attended the meeting by sports legends, like Javed Miandad, Samiullah, Hasan Sardar, Hanif Khan, Sikandar Bakht, Sadiq Muhammad, Wasim Bari, Saeed Hai, Mohsin Khan, Shahid Khan Afridi and a host of other terrific sports stars and renowned sports manager which included Gulfaraz Ahmed Khan of Hockey and S Sirajul Islam Bukhari president KCCA.
It is significant to mention that due to the extent of fatal dengue virus in Lahore, there was constant apprehension over the holding of the occasion at the Gaddafi Stadium. But the PCB was cautious to move the event to another city as all the arrangement have been finalized.
Previous Pakistan skipper and Director General PCB Javed Miandad was also in favor of having the event transfer from Lahore to Karachi and had commence the management to get the championship transfer, which is planned to be held from September 25.
The Board has been persistent in its position that it had been guaranteed by the Punjab government that the tournament can be held in Lahore exclusive of any problem and that there would be proper preventive procedures taken to keep the players safe.
Prof. Bukhari, while greeting warmly the recommendation of the President to Ijaz Butt in this course, has expected that the PCB chairman will take his recommendation optimistically. He expects that the preparations for the T20 tournament to hold in Karachi be taken up where there is no such difficulty of dengue and the rains have also stopped.

Previously, Mr Haleem Adil Shaikh, Advisor to the Chief Minister communicating on the event hoped that the T20 event to be transferred to Karachi from Lahore where nuisance of dengue fever has overwhelm the city.
